Size: 0.2 mile EW by 0.2 mile NS - Shoreline: 0.3 mile.
Features: This small bay has flat rocks, muddy sand, and
wetland when the lake level is low. At high levels, the water
reaches the tree line. This tract contains one classic parabolic
(blowout) dune which is quite unstable.
Short-term plan: This dune is quite attractive, but also
somewhat fragile. Access is from the Cables Creek along
the shoreline. Current use calls only for monitoring the dune.
Long-term plan: If the population of the Island increases
substantially, then access to this tract by footpath could be
developed in a site plan that protects the moving dune.
