For several days the logs being trucked to Bud Martin's dock
from south of Paid een Og's Road on Pinny's Logging truck from
East Jordan were simply piled higher and higher, prompting several
onlookers to ask, How high can it go? When the Ryba
Marine Construction's 85' flagship, Kathy Lynn, arrived in the
harbor with a huge barge in tow, people had their answer: About
this high.
After three days of loading, the barge set off for Ironton, through
Lake Charlevoix. In the meantime more logs keep coming into town
(now following the back streets), and people are
again wondering, How high will this pile be?
