Size: 0.3 mile EW by 0.25 mile NS - Shoreline 0.35 mile
Features: A rare parabolic dune system with blowouts that
produce fragility and instability. This is the largest dune system
on the Island and is migrating eastward.
Short-term plan: Vehicle traffic is destroying the substrata.
First, there needs to be a plan of enforcement against illegal
use. Signs alone do not seem to be adequate.
Long-term plan: No use plans should be implemented until
protection is in place long enough to measure stability and recovery.
