Size: 0.2 mile EW by 0.2 mile NS - Shoreline 0.5 mile
Features: This relatively small point is a system dune
with a well-defined foredune and a flat interdunal area with sand
and flat stones. Blowouts on the backdune indicate instability.
The sandy area is being eroded by horse and ORV traffic.
Plan: This low dune should be protected from development
and needs protection from shoreline intrusions and vehicles that
damage the fragile surface. Signs regulating such traffic should
be posted.
