Barry’s New CD
Island troubadour Barry Pischner outdid himself on his new CD,
a wonderful set of ballads by Barry, his daughter Tammy, and Rich
Scripps, with Bob and Martina Bollinger lending a hand.
Turning down offers from Nashville and New York, Barry held a
release party on the porch of Dalwhinnie on a blustery afternoon
on June 28th, to the delight of his many fans. “He makes
every line come alive,” a young woman said as he signed a
copy of Sailing On. Her wizened grandfather, who was next in line,
had to chime in: “I remember him singing with Jewell Gillespie
as a kid. He’s better now, I think. Better’n ever.”
A woman standing nearby added: “He really means it. For him,
it’s not just words.”
