Barrys New CD
Island troubadour Barry Pischner outdid himself on his new CD,
a wonderful set of ballads by Barry, his daughter Tammy, and Rich
Scripps, with Bob and Martina Bollinger lending a hand.
Turning down offers from Nashville and New York, Barry held a
release party on the porch of Dalwhinnie on a blustery afternoon
on June 28th, to the delight of his many fans. He makes
every line come alive, a young woman said as he signed a
copy of Sailing On. Her wizened grandfather, who was next in line,
had to chime in: I remember him singing with Jewell Gillespie
as a kid. Hes better now, I think. Bettern ever.
A woman standing nearby added: He really means it. For him,
its not just words.
