Weather or Not
February is already here! Can spring be all that far behind? The weather has turned colder and a handful of flurries have visited the Island. Ground Hog Day! Heck, everyday on Beaver Island is Groundhog Day. That movie with Bill Murray has nothing on a winter up here. If there was just a little more snow...
Don't count on it. Expect some lazy, snowy days, maybe even an actual storm, and just when you think you'll be able to lace up your snow shoes our old friend the Mid-Winter Thaw will return and bring the Island back to its original winter colors of burnt orange and sienna. Not to worry though, because Old Man Winter has one week of knee deep blizzard left up his sleeve for us. In April.
