During the winter, Freesoil Avenue resident Gerald Sowa completed
an intense technical seminar at the Goldsmith Clubmakers Training
Program in Austin, Texas. Begun in 1971, this program was the
first of its type in the world. Jerry received a thorough understanding
of products, processes and techniques, and shop experience. He
worked with the tools and equipment needed in a full-service commercial
clubmaking and repair facility.
